About Practice

Share

Our Practice is done in a traditional manner. We follow the traditions of Master Funakoshi as he brought them from Okinawa to Japan. The aim of practice is to face ourselves. In doing so we will become better people, who bring a positive influence in our school, work, families and friends. As iron sharpens iron so we each help one another in this journey of life. Remember that Karate practice is a lifestyle for a lifetime.

Beginners practice- This practice is tailored to anyone who is age 10 years old or older. For someone who has an interest in Karate but has never really trained before. You will learn the fundamentals of blocking, kicking and punching. The proper etiquette of the class. The history and traditions that make Shotokan karate what it is today. You will develop your balance, coordination, stamina and strength over time, your confidence and skills will grow.

Advanced class- is for those who have trained in the past. Whether in Shotokan of some other Martial Art. You are welcome to come and join.

If you have not practiced in a while do not let that worry you. We all have to get back in sooner or later. NOW is that time!!

Ages- children ages 10 and up to our senior members. If you are in good health, you can do what we do.
